Mike Hojnacki

Mike got his start in wrestling in the hotbed of Northeast Ohio and competed for Cuyahoga Valley Christian Academy (CVCA). He went on to wrestle at Messiah College (PA) where he was a two-year captain and it was there that he experienced the influence of a transformational coach. His college coach, Bryan Brunk, discipled and developed him, both on and off the mat, which inspired him to pursue a staff position with FCA in Pennsylvania. After a battle with cancer, Mike went on to join staff with FCA and has enjoyed giving back to the wrestling community in many ways, including through coaching with Beat the Streets in Philadelphia and Lancaster.
Josh Newberg – FCA Idaho Wrestling Director
example@fca.org
Josh Newberg grew up in the small town of Woodland, Washington, where sports—especially wrestling—played a big role in his life. He went on to wrestle for Boise State University from 2013 to 2017. It was during his junior and senior years at BSU that his faith deepened through the influence of a campus ministry called Cru. That experience planted a seed in his heart—a strong sense that his future career would be tied to his faith. A few years after graduating with an Engineering degree, Josh felt God calling him into full-time ministry through FCA Wrestling. Now serving as the FCA Idaho Wrestling Director, Josh is passionate about helping coaches, athletes, and their families grow in their relationship with Jesus both on and off the mat. The FCA Wrestling ministry in Idaho currently reaches the community through:
- Coach and athlete huddles
- Camps and clinics
- Coach breakfast events
- The FCA Wrestling Club in Nampa, ID
- Practice and tournament outreach
Josh has been married to his wife, Mckenna, since 2021. They have a toddler and are expecting their second child soon.

Pete’s main focus is building relationships with coaches and athletes, bringing faith into the heart of the wrestling community.
Pete credits much of his approach to ministry to his mentor, Jude Fouquier, whose steadfast dedication as a lead pastor taught him the value of serving others selflessly and consistently.
Pete’s commitment to FCA is driven by a desire to help athletes encounter Christ, strengthen their faith, and grow both on and off the mat. Through his work, he aims to inspire resilience and foster a community built on hope and God’s unwavering love.
Trevor Ramos

Trevor Ramos began full-time ministry on December 1, 2022, with the Fellowship of Christian Athletes as FCA’s Wrestling Director for the State of Georgia. This calling is truly all God. Trevor and his family were blessed to have a godly man for a father and coach—someone who loved Jesus deeply and lived out his faith through the relationships he built and sport of wrestling. That legacy has left a lasting impact. Trevor knows firsthand how much a coach can influence a child’s life, and now, by God’s amazing grace, he has the incredible privilege of helping lead other coaches and athletes into a growing relationship with Jesus Christ and His church. He is honored to serve in this role and be part of what God is doing through FCA Wrestling Georgia to impact souls for Christ – All for His glory! Trevor is passionate about uniting two of his greatest loves: the sport of wrestling and the gospel of Jesus Christ. Prior to stepping into ministry, he served for more than 17 years as the Executive Athletic Director for a Parks & Recreation Department, gaining a wealth of experience in leadership and athletics administration. A lifelong competitor, Trevor was an all-state 4-sport varsity athlete in high school and went on to play football as a place-kicker at the University of West Georgia, where he earned his bachelor’s degree in Sport Management. He has continued to grow both personally and professionally—volunteering as a youth sports coach, serving in his local church, and earning certifications as a youth sports administrator and parks and recreation professional. Most importantly, his journey has brought him to a deep personal faith and a powerful testimony to the Lord.
