FOR HIS GLORY

Fiscal-Year-End Report
September 2019 – August 2020
In 1954, God gave Oklahoma basketball coach Don McClanen a vision: coaches and athletes impacting lives for Christ. This stirring led to the founding of Fellowship of Christian Athletes (FCA). Now, 66 years later, the vision is still being fulfilled—to make Christ’s name known through the vehicle of sports—and has become one of the largest Christian sports organizations reaching coaches and athletes worldwide.
In 2008, FCA Wrestling (FCAW) was officially launched as a sport-specific ministry of FCA focusing solely on reaching those in the wrestling community. The commonality of wrestling has allowed us to build strong relationships that give us the opportunity to engage, equip, and empower coaches and wrestlers to impact their world for Christ. Carl Perry, FCAW Director since 2011, continues to be humbled and thankful by the tremendous growth and support the ministry has received.

A Message from Director Carl Perry
What a year it has been! Our fiscal year (September 2019—August 2020) was filled with many “firsts” in uncharted territory. But even in the wake of COVID, God’s presence has grown and we saw revival like never before. John 16:33 tells us that although we will have tribulation in this world, He has overcome and in Jesus we find peace. When wrestling championships were cancelled, we saw God show up. When the Olympics were postponed, we saw God stand up. When churches closed, we saw God pursue. And for the ministry of FCA Wrestling, we saw God move in ways we could have never imagined. Because of His glory and for His glory, we are passionate about what we do.
Below are highlights from our last twelve months—evidence that ministry wasn’t (and isn’t) cancelled. You’ll also read about some of the plans God has put on our hearts for the new fiscal year and how your investment can make an impact as we go forward. We thank you for your continued support and for making this past fiscal year possible. God bless.

Ministry Isn’t Cancelled
It wasn’t the typical year. Sports seasons ended abruptly for coaches and athletes. Schools and businesses closed, and even churches had to shut their doors. But one thing remains true: God is at work all the time and in every circumstance, and ministry doesn’t stop. Even in this unusual fiscal year—through the grace of God and your support—FCA Wrestling continued to see upward growth.
