to the wrestling community regarding COVID-19
From Carl Perry, FCA Wrestling Director
As the world continues to combat COVID-19, there is so much to pray for—for those who have contracted the virus, for the medical community, for leadership at all levels who are making daily decisions, for those whose employment has been affected, for businesses/companies striving to make it through this time, and for the day-to-day challenges that we all may be facing. As a sport-specific ministry, we empathize and pray for all the coaches and athletes whose seasons ended so abruptly.
As we pray, there are two questions that have been on my heart: What does God want us to learn from these present circumstances we find ourselves in and how can we play a part in His plan? I believe this is an important time to stand firm in our faith and trust in the God who created each of us for a purpose—a purpose that may be "for such a time as this." Using discernment, it is a time to press in, seek the presence of God, and to make a difference in whatever way we can. For this we know, we can eternally rest on the hope and peace that only Jesus Christ can provide. (John 14.27)
God bless you all.
