Fellowship of Christian Athletes WrestlingAs a sports specific ministry of Fellowship of Christian Athletes, FCAW offers a unique opportunity for impact in the wrestling community. There are over 9,445 high school teams with 257,346 boys and 5,048 girls participating in the sport of wrestling. At the college level, there are approximately 8500 wrestlers in some form of intercollegiate wrestling through NCAA (National Collegiate Athletic Association), NCWA (National College Wrestling Association) and NJCAA (National Junior College Athletic Association). Participation in wrestling has increased significantly in the last few years--in both the number of athletes and fans. These statistics all indicate tremendous potential and opportunity for the ministry of FCAW within the world of wrestling. Regional Wrestling RepresentativesBill Gifford, Atlanta, GA Ministry StrategyOnline Presence and Ministry. FCA Wrestling will collect and promote powerful testimonies of wrestlers, coaches, and friends of the sport whose lives have been impacted by God. This will be done through the use of our network, online videos, and other tools.Coaches Development and Ministry. FCA Wrestling will implement ministry models (3-D Coaches Clinics, Faith-Based Leadership Academies, etc.) that are strategically designed to minister to local coaches. The goals of the models will include sharing the gospel and equipping coaches and wrestlers with highly effective training and competition techniques. FCA Wrestling will play a role in the identification and/or training of college-level candidates for coaching at faith-based institutions.Wrestlers Development and Competitive Ministry. FCA Wrestling will have a strategic presence at major competitive wrestling events across the United States (Champions Breakfasts). Carl Perry Carl Perry FCAW National Director Former Associate Head Wrestling Coach - University of Illinois 2000 NCAA Champion "I am both amazed and humbled as I see God open doors of opportunity in this area of ministry" says Carl Perry, FCAW National Director as of April, 2011. Carl's dedication to the Fellowship of Christian Athletes began as a college athlete; his story a perfect example of the impact he knows FCA can have on an individual's life. At the age of 16, Carl made what he refers to as "the most significant, life-changing decision" of his life--accepting Christ as his personal Savior. So when he left Virginia (his home state) to begin his freshman year and wrestling career at the University of Illinois, he also went searching for a place he could grow spiritually, a place that felt like "a fit" for him. Head wrestling coach, Mark Johnson, connected Carl with an FCA huddle leader and after a few weeks of involvement, Carl knew his search was over. Carl says, "“I found a group of people who shared a common interest in Christ and sports. I found a leader who knew how to talk the way I did, who knew what I was dealing with, and understood the challenges of being a student athlete." Looking back, Carl can clearly see the groundwork that was being laid to prepare him for the ministry of FCAW. "I know, without a doubt, that through God's provisions and blessings, the ministry of FCAW can impact and transform lives." His own life is a testament to that fact. Perry received a Bachelor's Degree in Sports Management, and a Master's Degree in Organizational Leadership. His four-year wrestling career at the University of Illinois included honors of two-time All-American, finishing in the top 20 of career wins, and 2000 National Champion. Carl, first and foremost, attributes his abilities and achievements to God. Even in some of his most challenging times (injuries, defeats, etc.), he didn't lose sight of the "possibilities" he knew God had for his life--whether in wrestling or something else. "Whatever success I've had in the sport of wrestling or elsewhere, I know God has allowed it with a greater purpose in mind--a purpose that has eternal value." Carl currently resides in Greenville, North Carolina and loves family time with his wife Jamie and two children--Breanna and Bryce. When a little free time happens, he enjoys boating, fishing, golf, and volunteering as a wrestling assistant at a local high school.

Mark Mestemacher Mark Mestemacher Chairman of the FCAW Board Officer for Ceres Consulting LLC Edwardsville Wrestling Club Coach As chairman, Mark Mestemacher brings a passionate and and enthusiastic spirit to the FCAW Board. "I am so excited about the future of FCAW because it opens up a whole new arena for reaching the wrestling community for Christ." Mark continues, "It truly gives us a vehicle to share the gospel with coaches and athletes in an environment that is comfortable for them. Through FCAW's partnership with other organizations like NWCA, USA Wrestling, and the National Wrestling Hall of Fame, I believe we can make a difference in transforming the lives of our coaches and wrestlers for God's kingdom. That's exciting to me!" Whether he's working with elementary, middle school, high school, or college-age wrestlers, Mark Mestemacher's passion for the sport of wrestling is evident. Mark's record in coaching is impressive with the Edwardsville Wrestling Club in Edwardsville, IL. In the last 12 years the Club has produced three State Champions, 32 state place winners, and 121 state qualifiers. Over the last five years, the Edwardsville Club has averaged over 100 members each year, making it one of the largest kids' clubs in Illinois. Most recently, Mark was instrumental in raising funds, planning and designing the state-of-the-art Jon Davis Wrestling Center in Edwardsville, IL. The $4 million wrestling center is perhaps the most impressive wrestling-specific building in the United States. Mark wrestled at Collinsville High School, beginning his career in 1972 under Coach Joe Spurgeon. He also wrestled at Illinois State University. In 1993, he helped form the Edwardsville Wrestling Club with Mike Freitag and Jon Wagner. Mark completed his B.S. in Agricultural Economics at the University of Illinois in 1979. Professionally, Mark is an officer for Ceres Consulting LLC in East St. Louis, IL. The company provides barge freight management, logistic services, and consulting to a variety of bulk and project cargo importers and exporters. They also own and manage hopper and deck barges and act as an agent to investors in barges. Ceres specializes in barge transportation, logistics, and consulting for a variety of allied industries.

Rich Bender Rich Bender Executive Director of USA Wrestling "I'm extremely excited about the positive impact FCA Wrestling can have on our youth." says Rich. "I'm also excited about the leadership and intensity that Carl Perry brings to the program. I believe that FCA Wrestling can impact not only the way, but the effectiveness by which coaches coach. FCA Wrestling can make a very positive difference for our sport." Rich has been with USA Wrestling for 20 years, and has held the position of Executive Director of USA Wrestling since 2001. The organization has thrived in many areas under his direction and leadership. Prior to becoming Executive Director, Rich was Associate Executive Director of Programs and National Events Director for USA Wrestling. He was the wrestling Competition Manager of the 1996 Olympic Games in Atlanta, GA. Rich feels passionate about the importance of wrestling in our country and the impact the wrestling coach can have on instilling positive values on the young men and women they come in contact with. Rich was personally impacted by a local FCA Huddle, and as a Christian feels a strong sense of responsibility to try to do all he can to help extend that opportunity to as many young wrestlers as possible.

Nate Carr Nate Carr Head Wrestling Coach of Prodigy Training and Fight Center 3x NCAA Champion USA Olympic Bronze Medalist As a young man, wrestler Nate Carr brought home two Big Eight titles and three NCAA titles while at Iowa State University, then capped off a noteworthy athletic career by winning the bronze medal for his country in freestyle wrestling in the 1988 Olympics in Seoul, South Korea. Carr grew up in Erie, PA in a family of 16 children. Five of these, including Nate, would become All-American wrestlers (an NCAA record) and two, again including Nate, would compete in the Olympic Games. During his high school career at Erie Tech, Carr posted a record of 115-7 and collected a Pennsylvania State Championship. Upon his graduation from Erie Tech, Carr received a wrestling scholarship to Iowa State University. There he had a career record of 117-20-1 in the 150-pound weight class. He would earn three NCAA championships and two Big Eight conference titles. After graduation from Iowa State, Carr continued his freestyle wrestling career at the international level. In 1983 Carr earned a spot on the World Championship team. In 1986 he won both the World Cup and the Pan-American Championships. He began training for the 1988 Olympic Games in Seoul while working as an assistant coach at West Virginia University. At the Games he wrestled to the semifinal match and won a bronze medal. He returned as a member of the World Championship team in 1990 and also won his weight class at the Goodwill Games in Russia. Carr continued his participation in the sport as an assistant coach at West Virginia University. After his retirement from WVU, he moved to Jones County, GA. There, his son, Nate Carr, Jr. was a nationally ranked high school wrestler and 3 time state champion. Nate, Jr. originally committed to West Virginia University, but instead opted to attend Iowa Central Community College where he won the NJCAA 157-pound National Title. He has since signed with Iowa State University. Nate Carr has served for a Pastor for many years in Georgia and built a thriving ministry there. During this time he continued to help coach wrestling for Jones County High School and at camps and clinics across the country. He was also a commentator for Real Pro Wrestling on the PAX network. Nate recently moved from Georgia to Springboro, Ohio where he serves as the Director of Wrestling at The Prodigy Training Center in Southwest Ohio. The center is a state-of-the-art wrestling, boxing, strength and mixed-martial-arts training center.

Jim Gruenwald Jim Gruenwald Head Wrestling Coach, Wheaton College, Wheaton, IL 3x US Open Champion 3x NCCAA National Champion "My interest and excitement about FCAW is the emphasis on the ministry part of wrestling, to see men pointed to God through Christ and to see them develop physically, emotionally and spiritually." Gruenwald, a two-time member of the US Olympic Greco Roman wrestling team, started as head coach at Wheaton College after serving as an assistant coach for US Greco Roman wrestling team at the US Olympic Education Center in Marquette, Michigan since 2005. Jim finished sixth at 60kg in the Greco Roman competition a the 2000 Olympics in Sydney, and was 10th at the 2004 Olympics in Athens. A three-time US Champion, Jim completed his competitive career in 2008 as a National Champion, also winning titles in 2003 and 2004. Jim is a 1994 graduate of Maranatha Baptist Bible College, earning a Bachelor's Degree in Secondary Math Education in 1994. He compiled a four-year recod of 154-19 on the mat in his career at Maranatha; was a three-time National Christian College Athletic Association National Champion earning MVP honors in 1989 and 1991. He was a former Wheaton Invitational Champion, and a member of the Northwestern University's Midlands Invitational Tournament 20-Win Club, with 22 career victories at the prestigious tournament. Jim and his wife Rachel have four children: son Adin and three daughters--Arwyn, Ava, and Autumn.

Gary Huhnerkock Gary Huhnerkoch Lifetouch Portraits Former coach and wrestling official Former president of University of Minnesota Wrestling Booster Club "I am thrilled to be a part of FCA Wrestling, to serve with fellow Christian brothers in a sport I love, and to bring honor to Jesus Christ in the process," says board member Gary Huhnerkock. Raised in a Christian home, Gary accepted Christ into his life while at a Bible camp at the age of 10. However, it wasn't until he got involved with InterVarsity Christian Fellowship while attending Winona State University that he really started "living for Christ." Gary had just started dating Debra (now his wife). A retreat speaker said, "girls if you settle for anything but the very best God has for you, you will be cheating yourself. Guys, if you settle for anything but the very best God has for you, you are cheating yourself." Gary knew that God was telling him that if he was reallly interested in this girl (Debra), he needed to get himself right so he could be the godly man that God desired for her. Gary and Debra married in 1979, and now have three grown daughters. Gary got involved in wrestling when he was hired for his first teaching job. The school needed a Junior High wrestling coach and asked if he would be interested. Being young and newly married, he accepted. Gary recounts checking out books from the Library to stay a day or two ahead of the kids. However, he quickly fell in love with the sport and landed another coaching position in a small SW Minnesota town. The school was about to drop the wrestling program due to lack of participation, but Gary had the desire and intuition to start a kid's program at the elementary level which revived and ignited the entire wrestling program. Chad Kraft--the first four-time All American in Minnesota's history--was one of the young wrestlers that went through the kid's program under Gary's direction. After coaching, Gary continued his involvement with wrestling as a high school official for 15 years. He was also the first president of the University of Minnesota's Wrestling Booster Club during J. Robinson's first 11 years at Minnesota. Gary had a 27-year career at Herff Jones, and was inducted into the Herff Jones Hall of Fame in 2007. He is presently working with Lifetouch.

Tim Johnson Tim Johnson FCA Vice President for Midwest Region, Big Ten Network, ESPN and IPT Wrestling Broadcaster. Former coach, USAW Administrator, and Director of 1984 Olympic Games for Wrestling Tim Johnson is entering his 26th year as the "voice" of college wrestling broadcasting for ESPN, the Big Ten Network, and Iowa Public Television. During this time, Johnson has broadcast over 250 college wrestling meets. A former USA Wrestling administrator, Johnson was also director of wrestling for the Los Angeles Olympic Games in 1984. A native of Morning Sun, Iowa, Johnson graduated from Coe College (BA) in Cedar Rapids, Iowa in 1976, and University of Northern Iowa (MA) in 1977. Johnson was a successful wrestling coach at Mount Vernon High School (Iowa), which produced four-time state champion Greg Randall. Currently, Tim is VP of Field Ministries in the Midwest Region, plus oversees the FCA Wrestling ministry for the Fellowship of Christian Athletes.

John Peterson John Peterson Athletes in Action NAIA All-American USA Olympic Champion Olympic Champion John Peterson comes to the FCA Wrestling Leadership Board as a committed member of Athletes in Action since 1973. Hailing from the tiny farm community of Comstock in northwestern Wisconsin, John won three conference titles and NAIA All-America honors for the University of Wisconsin at Stout. But only then did his wrestling career blossom. During his senior year, John dropped by Iowa State to join his brother Ben and his team in preparing for the 1971 Pan American trials. John began to think of a long-shot bid for the World Championships, although the 177-pounder had met only grief in cutting to the international 163-pound class. An off-the-cuff discussion with Dan Gable proved to be the turning point. "Don't cut all that weight," the Cyclone star told John. "You can wrestle and win at 180.5 pounds." With his faith now bolstered by wrestling confidence, John began to succeed. He made the World team that summer, and again in '73, '78 and '79, winning bronze and silver medals the latter two years. In the Olympics of 1972, Gable and Wayne Wells won as expected, but Ben also took gold at 198 pounds and John won six matches in a row to capture the silver. While winning three National AAU titles and three World Cups, John blended his wrestling interests with his deep and abiding faith, as a coach and competitor for Athletes in Action. He spent three of seven AIA years in Europe, and lived in Vienna, Austria, for five more years as a staff member of the Campus Crusade for Christ. The 1976 Games in Montreal provided the ultimate wrestling achievement for John Peterson. A closing victory over Mahmet Uzun of Turkey captured the gold medal. John’s brother, Ben collected the silver at 198. John's story is not only one of athletic success, but one of a positive influence on the lives of young athletes.

Jeff Pratt Jeff Pratt Director of Student Ministry Training LifeWay Christian Resources College Scholarship Wrestler at Carson Newman College With a strong background in wrestling, ministry, and leadership with FCA, Jeff brings a wealth of knowledge and enthusiasm to the FCAW board. Jeff currently serves as the Director of Student Ministry Training and Events for LifeWay Christian Resources located in Nashville, Tennessee, where he has served since 2006. He has previously been a camp speaker, guest lecturer, and teacher in various seminary and college classes on the topic of student ministry. Jeff received his Master of Divinity degree from Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary in 1992. He received a bachelor's degree in recreation from Carson Newman College in 1986 where he competed in wrestling, earning All American Honors. Jeff also represented the USA on an NAIA All-Star team in 1985 in Greece, Paris and Yugoslavia. Since 1988, Jeff has served in a number of ministry positions including Bi-vocational Pastor with Green Level Baptist Church, Pastor of First Baptist Church (Gray, GA); Pastor at Perryville Baptist Church (Perryville, KY); Student Minister at Shirley Hills Baptist Church (Warner Robins, GA); Student Minister South Garland Baptist Church (Garland, TX); Church Planner/Pastor for Long Branch Baptist Chapel (Dahlonega, GA). "My passion for this ministry (FCAW) involves my personal experience of coming to Christ," said Pratt. "I became a Christian through wrestling. I went to Carson Newman College. I went there to wrestle. Carson Newman was close to my home and offered me a scholarship. On my team, there was a gentleman who loved the Lord and was a testament for Christ. He showed me what it meant to be a Christian. I came to Christ on January 11, 1985. Prior to that, many of the wrestlers on our team were 'hell-raisers.' Many of the wrestlers became Christians and were saved. In just one semester, eight of the guys became Christians. It showed us the power of coming to Christ. God was transforming our lives. Many of those wrestlers are now in full time ministry. That is my story and that is what drives my life. Wrestling is such a big part of all of it." Pratt is the head wrestling coach at Donaldson Christian Academy in Nashville, TN. He has also served as a volunteer coach and helped start wrestling programs in the communities where he has lived. He worked with 1988 Olympian Nate Carr to get wrestling started in Gray, GA, when he lived there. Pratt married Julie Renee Lay in 1988, and they have three children--Cole, Madison, and Alec. He spends most of his spare time raising his three children, hunting ducks, and occasionally playing a round of golf.

Dan Russell Dan Russell Senior Pastor, Battleground Foursquare Church 4x NCAA Champion USA Olympic Team Coach Dan is passionate about the mission and vision of FCAW and says, "I am proud to be a part of such an amazing movement to reach the wrestling world for Jesus Christ." As a four-time NCAA Wrestling Champion, a four-time Academic All-American, and the 1995 Unofficial Wrestling Champion of the World, Dan has had the opportunity to represent the United States in 44 nations. He was also part of the USA Wrestling National Coaching Staff and was an Olympic Coach at the 2004 Olympic Games in Athens, Greece. Dan was installed as Senior Pastor of Battle Ground Foursquare Church in December of 2007. He and his wife, Joy, an active pastor and worship leader on staff, have four children: son Ryan and daughters Sarah, Dani and Hannah. The 15 years prior to coming to Battle Ground, Dan was a Pastor of Student Ministries, serving the last seven years at East Hill Foursquare Church in Gresham, Oregon. Dan is currently serving the International Church of the Foursquare Gospel as a representative for church planting in Clark County, Washington. Dan is an accomplished motivational speaker. A successful athletic career and years of experience working in the church have provided a relevant foundation for Dan'’s ministry. He has an amazing testimony of God’'s grace and compassion. He has traveled extensively sharing his testimony in churches, schools and sports arenas. Working with men, women and young people, Dan’'s ability to encourage adults and students as a role model has been a gift to the body of Christ. Dan has a passion to see people step into their ministry calling no matter the cost, working to train up leaders and pastors around the world. He calls leaders to step into their ministry calling with faith and courage. As the Senior Pastor of Battle Ground Foursquare Church, Dan hopes to ignite his community with the love of Christ, bringing hope, encouragement and practical help to those in need. His desire is to see the united body of Christ, those that have accepted Jesus Christ as their Lord and Savior, begin to reach out in simple acts of kindness and faith to impact their culture with the grace of God.

Joe Slaughter Joe Slaughter President and CEO of Herff Jones Joe Slaughter is the President and CEO of Herff Jones of Indianapolis, Indiana. Herff Jones manufactures and sells educational recognition and achievement products and motivational material such as insignia jewelry and class rings. Joe has been with the company for over 35 years. He has served as Vice President Scholastic, Sales Representative; Area Sales Manager; National Sales Manager - College Division; Regional Sales Manager; Vice President - Scholastic Sales; and Vice President - Scholastic Sales and Marketing. Joe became very involved in the sport of wrestling when his two sons began participating in the sport passionately. Prior to joining Herff Jones he was a Professor of Philosophy at Grace College in Warsaw, Indiana. Mr. Slaughter received his Bachelor of Arts and Master of Arts from Michigan State University in 1969 and 1971, respectively.

Brandon Slay Brandon Slay National Freestyle Resident Coach USA Wrestling USA Olympic Champion 2x NCAA Runner-Up Olympic champion Brandon Slay joined USA Wrestling as the Assistant National Freestyle Coach and National Freestyle Resident Coach in January 2009. Nine years ago, Brandon Slay rose to worldwide acclaim by winning the Gold Medal in Freestyle Wrestling at the 2000 Olympic Games in Sydney, Australia. Two years prior, Brandon graduated from the University of Pennsylvania with a degree in Finance and Management from the prestigious Wharton School of Business. Brandon was born and raised in Amarillo, TX. For many years, Brandon attempted to accomplish his wrestling dreams without God, and he only got so far, but not far enough. In 1999, Brandon finished 6th in the U.S. Nationals by clinging to his own life and doing things his way. At this point, Brandon realized his life had no purpose. Only God could bless the desires of his heart. At the end of 1999, he gave his life completely up to Jesus Christ. With his new spiritual strength, he was able to go from 6th in the U.S.A. in 1999 to 1st in the World in 2000. Brandon'’s motto became “"Do your best and let God take care of the rest!”" After the Olympics, Brandon started an organization called Greater Gold, which prepares youth to reach their full academic and athletic potential while planting positive seeds of Biblical truth. Brandon travels across the nation speaking to schools, youth groups, churches, and business organizations. Slay is responsible for assisting in all facets of the National Freestyle Team program, with his primary focus on managing the U.S. Olympic Training Center (USOTC) resident program in Colorado Springs. He manages the daily operations, recruiting and training of full-time resident athletes in the program and also train those who attend on a short term basis. When Slay won a gold medal at 76 kg/167.5 lbs. at the 2000 Olympic Games in Sydney, Australia, he upset Olympic and World Champion Bouvaisa Saitiev of Russia in the pool competition in Sydney. Saitiev has gone on to win three Olympic gold medals. Slay won the 2000 U.S. National Championships in Las Vegas, Nevada, and claimed the 2000 U.S. Olympic Team Trials, held in his native Dallas, Texas. He was a U.S. Olympic Training Center resident athlete for two full seasons when he became an Olympic gold medalist. The international competitions that Slay won included the test event for the 2000 Olympics, the 1999 Five Continents Cup in Sydney, Australia. He won two University Nationals titles, and was also a champion at the Dave Schulz Memorial International. Slay won two Cadet World medals in Greco-Roman and also competed on a U.S. Junior World Team in freestyle. He was a two-time NCAA runner-up competing for the University of Pennsylvania, where he received a degree from the Wharton School of Business. Originally from Amarillo, Texas, Slay won three state titles for Tascosa High School, and was an all-district football player.

Lee Roy Smith Lee Roy Smith Executive Director, National Wrestling Hall of Fame NCAA Champion USA World Silver Medalist "It's my belief" says Lee Roy, "that without God man neither knows which way to go, nor even understands who he is." This belief, along with his background in and passion for the sport of wrestling, is what has led to Lee Roy's interest and involvement as a board member of FCAW. Currently serving as the Executive Director of the National Wrestling Hall of Fame and Museum in Stillwater, Smith wrestled at Oklahoma State from 1977-80, compiling a 114-13-4 overall record. A four-time conference champion, Smith won an NCAA individual championship wrestling at 142 pounds in 1980. He helped the Cowboys to a team conference championship in 1978 and remains to this day ranked among the top 50 Oklahoma State wrestlers of all time in terms of winning percentage at 88.55 pct. On the international stage, Smith brought a silver medal home from the 1983 world championships. From 1992-2001, the Del City, Oklahoma, native served as head wrestling coach at Arizona State, where he was recognized four times over as the Pac-10 Coach of the Year during his time with the Sun Devils. He also served as National Freestyle Coach for USA Wrestling from 1989-1992, and had coached in Martigny, Switzerland and at Oklahoma State. As a trio, the Smith brothers are a household name in the sport of wrestling--combining for seven NCAA individual championships and 14 All-America honors, with Lee Roy serving as the initial spark of the Smith family wrestling dynasty. Younger brothers John (1997) and Pat (2000) are also icons in the sport. Smith lives in Stillwater, Oklahoma with his wife Lisa and daughters LeAnne and Shannon.

Stan Zeamer Stan Zeamer President and Owner of Utility/Keystone Trailer and Transport Auctions LLC H.S. and College Wrestling Coach Stan Zeamer of Manheim, Pa. has been involved in wrestling for many years, including serving as a leader at the highest levels, as well as having success as an athlete and coach. He is involved with FCAW because "it will build a culture of moral leadership--as did Athletes in Action." He currently serves on the Board of Governors for the National Wrestling Hall of Fame, and served as its chairman for a number of years. His leadership has helped the Hall of Fame grow and expand its activities for the sport. Zeamer also served as the president of the Pennsylvania chapter of the National Wrestling Hall of Fame from 1993-2003. In that capacity, Zeamer helped organize highly successful banquets for the honored inductees, setting a standard for how state chapters of the Hall of Fame should operate. He generously leases office space from his business headquarters to two important wrestling organizations--the National Wrestling Coaches Association (NWCA) and the Wrestling Hall of Fame state chapters program. He has been a longtime supporter and leader within the NWCA. Zeamer graduated from Manheim Central High School in Pennsylvania, where he was a two-time district champion, two-time regional champion and the Most Valuable Wrestler at the high school. As an undergraduate, he attended Northwest Missouri State University, where he was a 1970 NCAA College Division National Champion and a two-time All-American. He was the Outstanding Wrestler at Northwest Missouri State in 1969, set a number of school wrestling records and completed his career never having been pinned. He served in a number of coaching positions on the junior high, high school and college levels, starting with his first assignment in 1970 as the head coach at Manheim Central High School, his alma mater. His coaching career has gone full circle, as he is presently the head coach at Manheim Central Middle School. Among his college coaching positions: head coach and assistant coach at Franklin and Marshall College, assistant coach at Clarion University, assistant coach at Elizabethtown College, and assistant coach at Wheatland Middle School. He has received numerous awards and honors for his wrestling activities. Among the Halls of Fame that he has been inducted into are the Pennsylvania Sports Hall of Fame (2003), Northwest Missouri State University Club Hall of Fame (1998), District III Wrestling Hall of Fame (1982), Manheim Central High School Hall of Fame (2005) and the Sports Hall of Fame of Columbia, Pa. (1975). Zeamer received the Meritorious Service Award from the National Wrestling Coaches Association in 2003. He was also named Lancaster/Lebanon Middle School Coach of the Year in 2004. He has also founded "Building Leaders in Life," a respected leadership development program. After receiving his Master's degree from Slippery Rock University, Zeamer went on to become a successful businessman. Since 1978, he has been the Owner/President of Utility/Keystone Trailer Sales, Inc. of Manheim, Pa. Since 2002, he has been Owner/President of Transport Auctions, LLC of Manheim, Pa. He was named National Trailer Dealer of the Year in 2000. Because of his tremendous success in business, as well as a life-long commitment to wrestling, Zeamer has made significant contributions to wrestling in many ways. The Distinguished Members of the National Wrestling Hall of Fame selected Zeamer to receive its Order of Merit award in 2005 for his impact on the sport of wrestling.
